We're moving to the Beach!

Mike has accepted a position with the Island Coastal division of the Lee County Sheriff's Office. It is a residential posting, meaning the Sheriff's department puts us up in a house on Captiva Island. For now Mike will commute there and once the house is ready and Kate is born the rest of the clan will move out there. We are so excited, the house is walking distance to the beach, and little restuarants and cafes. Mike will be on a boat or an ATV or in his patrol car, and will be able to spend more time at home since the island is rather small, there won't be a commute. I hope people will come to visit us often, we love company!

Welcome to the Sawicki Family Adventure!
We moved to Florida a few years ago to be able to spend more time outdoors. When we got down here, we just loved it. We decided to start a family and shortly there after Sean was born. We knew we wanted more than one child and being so in love with Sean we immediately started trying for number 2, Kate was born on July 24! I hope to upload pics for our family and friends to see.
Other happenings: my sister is in Africa on a whirl wind vacation (so jealous) and she has her own blog spot ( http://DCtoAfrica.blogspot.com) that is how I learned to do this. My brother is coming home from Afghanistan this week, he is returning to his very pregnant wife in Germany where he is stationed. She is due just weeks after me and they are also having a girl!
